Team 8880 meets the second Thursday of every month at 7 pm at Cherokee Presbyterian Church in Canton, Georgia.
A parent or guardian should accompany his/her son to a team meeting at the time the decision is made to join Team 8880. A membership packet will be given to the parent for review and for completion of the necessary forms. The parent, with son, will meet with the Team Coach to discuss Team 8880's Scouting program, guidelines, and procedures. The boy will not be permitted to participate in any Scouting function until he is properly registered and all his fees are paid. This is primarily because the Boy Scouts of America needs to have a membership record in order to provide insurance coverage.
Parents or guardians are encouraged to contribute to the team and its activities in some way. Positions are available as Assistant Team Coaches or Committee Members. Many resources and talents are required for a team to have a quality program, and each Scout's unique gifts add to the diversity and abilities of the Team. |
